GAMEPRO HISTORY
A passion for deer stalking that evolved into a company.
I was drawn to the world of country pursuits at a young age, and shooting has long been part of my life, particularly rifle shooting. I discovered deer stalking around 15 years ago, and I’m never happier than when I’m out on the ground with a rifle over my shoulder. I began my working life as a fabricator/welder and after a varied career in that trade I had a change of direction and joined the Fire & Rescue Service, serving on a technical rescue station for 20 years.
My background in long range rifle shooting taught me that a solid and stable shooting position was vital for accuracy. I’ve struggled to shoot accurately from some poorly designed high seats in the past and after a couple of bad experiences. I set out to build a high seat that provided an ideal platform for accurate and humane shots.
The first version of the adjustable GamePro Vantage was born a couple of years ago and proved popular. Demand has grown and the range has been updated and expanded to include the GamePro Contractor which is a fixed position seat and an oversized single seat to meet the Countryside Stewardship Grant.
We have other deer management products under development and we’re always looking for new ideas.
